We always look forward for weekend to arrive, hoping and wishing that we'll spend two couch potato days after the 5-day work week. At some point, did you ever felt that you want to go back to work so you can rest from the tedious chores you did around the weekend?
Saturday is full packed with activities! We started at 9am to replenish essentials at Walmart, back home to do the laundry, helped G3 clean out closet, paused for a quick pasta lunch, dropped of 3 bags of donation at Goodwill, 2 hours cleaning the house, one hour nap time, picked up laundry (so glad i gave myself a break on ironing this week) and finally a trip to Sams Club. I usually stock up on easy food essentials in anticipation of busy day like this. In this manner, I can also give a break to my busy kitchen.
For thin crust pizza lovers, I discovered the Multigrain Flat Bread ( used for wraps) as an easy alternative to a traditional crust. It can be found at the deli section at Walmart at less than $4 (5 pita breads). Trust me, the end result is so good (and crispier than regular thin crust) that we seldom order boxed pizza nowadays unless we have teen guests at home. The good part - - you control the calories as you dictate the ingredients. Try this...
INGREDIENTS:
Flat Bread (or pita bread)
Pizza Sauce ( can be substituted with spaghetti sauce)
Pepperoni/Green Bell Pepper (others)
Mozarella Cheese
Estimate Cost: $8-9 (Serves: 4-5)
STEP 1:
Place 1 tsp of pizza sauce in flat bread
STEP 2:
Top with mozarella cheese
STEP 3:
Arrange pepperoni
STEP 4:
Add green bell pepper
STEP 5:
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
