Did you suddenly wake up and realized that your kids no longer appreciate the cute pink and yellow flower theme in their room?
This weekend is all about room updates for our Terrible Threes (Yes . . Three Teenage drama queenies). Picture this - G1 wants a rock star room (We ended up on a Guitar black comforter set online), G2 wants color to her room (No,we are not painting the wall), G3 wants a grown up pink (hmm..Hello kitty never grow old)!
After two trips driving around Ross, Kohl's and TJ Maxx yesterday, hours of frustration on not finding the right colors and fabric they wanted ... I was so elated that at 4:00 pm, we finally compromised at the good ole' place - - Target.
As this is just another perk for them - - We gave each kid $100 budget for them to go wild and crazy in updating their rooms without breaking our pockets
HERE"S WHAT THEY COME UP WITH:
G2's ROOM : " COOL GREEN TOUCHES"
SMALL BINS : 6 x 1.99 = $11.94
LARGE BINS: 3 x 3.99 = $11.97
DRAWER: $4.99
TOTAL: $ 88.99 + tax
G3's ROOM : "BUBBLE GUM PINK "
LARGE BINS: 6 x 3.99 = $23.94
BASKET: $14.99
TOTAL: $ 98.92 + tax
G1 (Still waiting for online delivery)
At the end of the day, it was a great experience teaching our teens managing money and working on a budget. I will give Target a thumbs up as we find the coolest teen appropriate colors at the most affordable prices!
