342 people in 81 countries! These are the newly proclaimed US Citizens in TN today! I know this because I am the 137th person in this batch. As I have pledged allegiance to the flag of the US, America is my home now , but the fact remain that I will still be the Filipino Stellan at heart.
I will always be the traditional adobo girl! So before Uncle Sam drive me crazy with more taxes..I need to calm myself as I start practicing the skill of baking more apple pie (till we retire back in Manila?).Today marks the day where I commence living the american dream...and I would like to jump start it with this simple dessert which is a showstopper in our kitchen for years !
INGREDIENTS:
3 apples
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbs vanilla
dash of cinnamon sugar
Rolled Dough Pie Crust
Estimate Cost: $4-6
STEP 1:
Spread out pie crust #1 in baking pan
STEP 2
Combine cut apples, sugar, vanilla. Mix well. Add cinnamon sugar
STEP 3:
Place on dough
STEP 4:
Cover with pie crust #2. Fold corners and make holes in the center
STEP 5:
Bake for 30 minutes at 400 degrees
STEP 6:
Serve with ice cream
