It's Saturday again ...and that means Walmart Day! The trick to Walmart shopping is that you need to be at the store before 8 AM to avoid the scary people rush!
I usually rush in an out , so by 8:30 I am almost done with my shopping ....but hold on...I have to go and check on the bread on sale rack. Saturday is my opportunity to go through a wide selection of gourmet breads (cheese, multi grain, sour dough etc) at 40% discounted price or more. I know I purchased fresh bread from Sam's yesterday but I need additional two loaves to go with our baked mac and cheese for lunch and another for my asiago cheese for dinner .... and looking at the box of glazed donuts at $2.40 versus $4.50, you're going home with me baby!
We
are about to head for the cheese area when I I saw a multi grain loaf
at $1.50. Hmmm...I am not really fond of freezing the bread. I always
like my bread freshly baked out of the oven and crunchy hot (reminds
me of the smell of pan de sal ) but I think I can convert this loaf
into some sort of gourmet bread pudding for dessert
I don't have a recipe for pudding, but you don't really need one ... so let's just take this and head home
