It's Good Friday ! Girls have no school today so I wanted to surprise them for lunch. And that means working like a crazy mad woman to finished two PowerPoint decks for a client presentation, 2 hours of conference call to finalize SOP and work plans. Multi tasking and all ....so by half past noon, we were so ready for our sushi lunch! (No meat during Lenten season ...and sushi counts!YES!)
By dinner time (Steak Night Friday), as expected...everybody was full. And that means at 8:30pm --hungry again! For times like these...Here's an easy cookie recipe to fix the craving of rumbling tummies. We used to purchase ready made frozen sugar cookies ($4), but when we discovered this recipe, it's a shame to not include it in our list of favorites!

1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
Estimate Cost: approx $2-$3 (makes 36-40 cookies)
