Friday date night at Bone Fish was fun! If you are ever going to TN or have time to browse in google land for a seafood place, you need to check this place . As the name implies, seafood ....but the concept is interesting as it has the ambiance and sort of fine dining feel at a more economical price compared to other restaurants downtown.
For calamari lovers, the $7 crunchy appetizer ( with a zingy spicy flavor) is really a hit for me!
So I am adding this restaurant to my favorite list today, and while I am updating my restaurant list, Here's an english scone recipe that tastes more like shortbread cookies that you may enjoy for breakfast today:
INGREDIENTS:
2 c flour
1/4 c sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg
8 tbsp butter
1/4 c mil
STEP 1:
Combine flour, butter, sugar, baking powder and salt. Mix with a fork
In a separate bowl, beat egg and milk. Add into the mixture and knead
STEP 2:
Place dough in a parchment paper and roll out (like you are cutting a pizza)
Form into 8 pieces. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown
STEP 3:
Serve with english lemon curd or your favorite jam
