Back to school shopping is always fun!
Last year we went crazy shopping in New York/New Jersey while we were on vacation. We even drove to Arkansas so we can take advantage of Steve and Barry's items. So yesterday, I revisited G3's closet and decided not to bother counting her hoodies (from last count, G3 has more than 70? - yikes!) and help her finalize her shopping list. Hmmm...this kid has more clothes than three normal teens combined (I haven't looked at G1 and G2s closet but whatever)
So Dr D hubby and I made a decision of none hoodie shopping this year - -In fact - -we are keeping it to the bare essentials.
While it may be good for the economy to keep the retail momentum going, for us it's all about teaching our daughters the value of money. It's easy for us to spoil our kids - -but at this time where our economy is unstable - -we are cutting on some small extravagances (and hopefully place those extras back to savings pile). Fortunately, the girls expressed that they really do not need anything ...so it's just updating their wardrobe on a few items.
Which brings me to planning meals - -Below is my meatloaf recipe that is easy to create and the same time cost efficient.

1/2 cup oatmeal
