Just when you are falling back to sleep at 4 am (cat woke hubby), the cat woke us up again an hour later(this time it's the thunderstorm causing his madness) . You would think he's going to curl up in your feet shivering? Oh no...he kept on meowing and want us to chase him around and play. By the time we close the door , I can't go back to bed now - -haaaaaayy.
I am on my second cup of coffee when G1 woke up at 9 am, so dragging her with me to the gas station for our Sunday paper with our shabby pillowhair look-- we passed by the grocery to get peaches for dessert tonight. Not sure what I'll do with it (random peaches thoughts) ---but here's some experimenting on my side
INGREDIENTS:
1 can peach slices
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp . brown sugar
BATTER: You can use a premix white cake OR
1/3 c. butter
2/3 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
STEP 1: Drain peaches. Melt butter and brown sugar in a skillet until sugar is dissolved.
STEP 2: Arrange peaches in pan
STEP 3: Prepare batter. our on top of peaches and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
